This striking piece is a playful take on formality. The chair’s polished bronze, its rigid back, and its red upholstered cushion all suggest a throne, yet it rests upon playful, splayed legs, is executed in compositional lines of wavering imperfection, and possesses, at its back, a coat hanger and clasp tray

With a tabletop that rests so lightly upon its two scroll-like bases that it gives the impression of floating, the generous dimensions of this piece exceed the requirements of a coffee table and in so doing, imbue it with a presence that verges on the primal. An exploration of the power of over-scaling.
